Terms of use

Teacher judgment stays in control.

These terms govern the current free, invite-only GradeAI beta operated as a Hurosoft product.

Last updated 30 July 2026

1. The beta service

GradeAI provides teacher-reviewed classroom, submission, Google sync, AI-assisted grading, feedback, analytics, and export tools. The beta is free, evolving, and may experience interruptions. No subscription or pay-per-submission purchase is offered under these terms.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Account holders must provide accurate information, protect their credentials, and use only accounts they control. GradeAI may limit invitations or suspend access when reasonably needed for abuse prevention, security, legal compliance, or beta capacity.

3. Teacher and institution responsibilities

  • Have lawful authority to upload student data, submissions, rubrics, and reference material.
  • Collect any school, student, parent, or guardian authorization required for the intended use.
  • Minimize personal data and keep rosters and assessment settings accurate.
  • Review source work, criterion scores, totals, and feedback before recording or sharing a grade.
  • Correct inaccurate output and provide students an appropriate human appeal or review process.

4. AI limitations

GradeAI produces draft scores and feedback, not final professional decisions. AI may misread handwriting, scans, diagrams, languages, context, or incomplete files, and may score identical work differently. AI-detection signals are probabilistic and are not proof of misconduct.

5. Content and permission

Users retain their rights in uploaded content. Users grant GradeAI a limited permission to host, copy, transform, transmit, and process that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Users must not upload content they lack permission to use.

6. Third-party services

GradeAI depends on third-party authentication, hosting, storage, AI, Google, and monitoring services. Their outages, permission changes, and service policies can affect availability. Google integrations are also subject to the permissions granted by the user.

7. Suspension and termination

Users may stop using the beta and delete their GradeAI data. GradeAI may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, unlawful use, or beta closure. Where practical, users will receive notice and a reasonable opportunity to export or remove their data.

8. Warranty and liability

The beta is provided on an as-available basis. GradeAI does not promise that AI output is accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular assessment. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

9. Changes

Material changes will be dated on this page. Continued use after reasonable notice means the updated terms apply, except where applicable law requires a different form of agreement.
